I really enjoyed the '40 Exquisite Movie Posters' article, fully agree with all of them; great designs for fantastic films. I like looking at film and show posters for inspiration, creative droughts are the worst. Your lists are great for a kind of brief overview of some pretty awesome things in design, so thanks!

My inspiration-drought has lasted for years. Not just on the writing/artistic front, but the endeavour of living life well front. (And I don't mean "financially".) We artist-types (omg, what typeface am I???) tend to beat ourselves up emotionally, physically, and consistently... I think it's part of the process. We over-think, typically, and because of this we are then forced to compare the activity of our brain to the activity of our everything else - and that certainly will never, NEVER balance out. We are our own worse critics because we know our potential, shy away from the praise while yearning for it from ourselves, and, ultimately, most of us seek out that dark solitude where thought ends up conquering all.

"Productivity", or the self-tormenting societal definition thereof, seems to be the great nemesis of The Artist.

Its what drives us to create, to destroy, to be emotionally and mentally unbalanced: e.g., to cut our ears off.

"Back the fuck off ye loud, high-pitched mirror! Back... the... fuck... off... BE GONE!"

With that said, I think I speak for everyone when I say I eagerly await the return of this blog. But chillax, it's all good... we can pretend to have patience. Heh.
